The objective of this research program is to fund particularly innovative projects in private or public laboratories that work in Institut Mérieux’s strategic focus areas: infectious diseases, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, food safety, and nutrition.

After a rigorous selection process, the chosen investigators receive two-years of funding.  If the research proves successful, Institut Mérieux reserves the option to forge strategic partnerships.

Since the creation of the Mérieux Research Grants in 2009, nearly 20 million euros in subsidies have been awarded.
