A SHARED VISION

Since its inception, with its deep-rooted Pasteurian tradition, Institut Mérieux has been committed to medicine and public health. We have thus structured its action around three strategic central activities – diagnostics, immunotherapy and nutrition – developing a multidisciplinary approach at the service of health.

Our three bio-industrial companies, bioMérieux, Transgene and Mérieux NutriSciences develop innovative solutions to combat the persistent threat from infectious diseases, provide new weapons against cancer and help improve nutrition.

Due to the close interaction between infectious diseases, cancers and nutrition, we have decided to set up a nutrition/health hub: Mérieux NutriSciences. This new entity draws on Silliker's experience in the food industry and Institut Mérieux's scientific and medical expertise.

This development is representative of the cross-disciplinary approaches that the Institute intends to develop: theranostics on the borders of diagnostics and therapy to promote more personalized medicine, food safety and better nutrition to combat infectious diseases, cancers and metabolic disorders…

Institut Mérieux has always placed science and research at the heart of its activities, with one ultimate aim, the interests of the patient. It promotes a policy of cross-disciplinary partnerships with the international scientific and hospital community.

With Mérieux Développement, a company investing in the area of health and the Research Grants, the Institute is completing an original system to promote innovation and tomorrow’s medicine.
