On April 8, 2026, as part of the Presidential One Health Summit, Institut Mérieux is hosting the conference “One Health: Our Best Defense”, in partnership with emlyon Business School and emlyon HITS institute, at the Mérieux Auditorium of IARC in Lyon.
In a context shaped by persistent infectious threats, climate change, biodiversity loss, food-related risks, and antimicrobial resistance, the conference will explore the One Health approach as a key governance model for global health security. Diagnostics, surveillance, and laboratory systems will be at the heart of discussions, as critical levers for early detection and coordinated response.
Leading international voices will come together, including heads of health agencies, academic experts, economists, and industry representatives from organizations such as Fiocruz, Africa CDC, One Health Trust, Toulouse School of Economics, and CEVA Santé Animale.
The conference is open to participants of the One Health Summit, stakeholders from the One Sustainable Health Forum, as well as students, decision-makers, and healthcare professionals.
